Oral and written communication dimension

The objectives of these activities are:

1. New vocabulary acquisitiosn,  to use it both orally and written 
following the guidelines of the foreign language.

2. Memorization and reproduction of vocabulary and grammatical structures and being able to use them.


Competences used in the activity:

 Competence 1. Obtain basic information and understand simple texts or adapts
to daily life, from the media and from the school field.
• Competence 2. To produce orally varoius kinds of texts depending on the communicative situation


VOCABULARY and STRUCTURES

Hello! This space is to work on our vocabulary and some structures,  to cover three of the Catalan curriculum goals for 5th grade in English as a foreign language (you can find it in page 71): Conocimiento de la lengua y de su aprendizaje. Habilidades y estrategias para aprender nuevo léxico, expresiones y estructuras (repetición, memorización, asociación, utilización de soportes multimedia) y reflexión sobre el propio aprendizaje.(Generalitat de Catalunya, Departament d'ensenyament, 2017)

Structures: There is and there are

The rule to use this structure is pretty simple: we sat "there is" when we are talking about singular like a book, and we say "there are" when we are talking about something plural like glasses.
